Lady Gaga Says Her “Next Starring Role” Is Being a Mom — and Honestly, That’s Iconic

Mother Monster might be trading in her stage lights for nursery nightlights soon. In a new interview, Lady Gaga opened up about what’s next for her — and spoiler alert: it’s not another album or movie.

“I would like to do many things,” she shared. “All of these things are open. But what I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.”

🥹 Gaga — who’s engaged to tech entrepreneur Michael Polansky — has talked about wanting kids before. Earlier this year, she told Access Hollywood that motherhood is “the greatest vision I have.” And in true Gaga fashion, she didn’t waste any time getting real about it — reportedly asking Polansky if he was down for marriage and kids on their first date.

Fast-forward to now, and their love story seems straight out of a rom-com. Just last month, Gaga snagged Artist of the Year at the MTV VMAs and dedicated the win to her fiancé, calling him her biggest supporter and creative partner.

“Dreaming up this album, making the plan, building every vision with you… has been an experience I could not have ever imagined,” she wrote in a heartfelt post. “I love how much you love my fans and want them to be happy. It fills my heart with happiness how much you love them because we get to love them every day together.”

She finished with the most Gaga line ever: “Having your creative partnership in our art, business, and in love — is a love I’ve never known.”
