Yummy Hits SoFlo's Hottest Hits
If your group chat hasn’t already started planning, here is your sign: Calvin Harris and John Summit are headlining a massive, free concert right on the sand this Saturday.
As Miami gears up to host the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship at Hard Rock Stadium on Monday, the city is throwing a two-night block party at Lummus Park. Whether you’re a die-hard football fan or just here for the bass, this is the place to be.
Saturday night (January 17) is officially for the dance music lovers. The lineup is stacked with heavy hitters:
Calvin Harris: The Scottish legend behind every anthem you’ve ever screamed at a festival.
John Summit: The Chicago-born, Miami-based DJ who is basically the face of the current house music scene.
Xandra: The University of Miami alum and rising DJ/producer who will be opening the night with some hometown energy.
On Sunday (January 18), the energy shifts to celebrate Miami’s deep Latin roots. This night is a must-see, especially since it marks a major return for the headliner:
Peso Pluma: The Mexican trailblazer is playing his first Miami show since his canceled tour date last summer.
Latin Mafia: The genre-bending trio bringing their unique blend of R&B and trap.
Greeicy: The Colombian pop powerhouse who will get the crowd moving early.
Since this event is free and unticketed, the most important rule is to arrive early. Once Lummus Park reaches capacity, they will close the gates.
Location: Lummus Park (On the beach between 5th and 15th Streets, Ocean Drive).
Time: Doors open at 6:00 PM both nights.
Cost: $0.00 (First-come, first-served).
The Big Game: All this leads up to the National Championship on Monday, Jan 19, where our very own Miami Hurricanes take on the Indiana Hoosiers!
Whether you’re heading down for the house beats or the corridos, make sure your phone is charged and your comfortable shoes are on—South Beach is about to be a movie.
