Bad Bunny and the Minions was NOT on our 2026 bingo card… but honestly? It weirdly works perfectly.

Illumination just dropped the final trailer for Minions & Monsters, the newest movie in the massive Minions franchise, and the entire thing is powered by Bad Bunny’s hit song “EoO.” The movie officially hits theaters on July 1, 2026, and social media is already obsessed with the chaotic crossover.

The new Minions & Monsters trailer takes fans back to 1920s Hollywood, where the iconic yellow agents of destruction attempt to create their own horror movie using REAL monsters — which obviously turns into complete disaster within seconds.

And somehow, Bad Bunny’s energy makes the chaos even better.

The producers selected “EoO” from Bad Bunny’s album Debí tirar más fotos to soundtrack the trailer, blending Latin trap and reggaeton with the Minions’ chaotic humor. The result feels like a fever dream in the best possible way.

Honestly, hearing Bad Bunny over exploding monsters, screaming Minions, and old Hollywood visuals shouldn’t work this well… but it absolutely does.

Fans online are already calling the collaboration one of the smartest marketing moves of the summer, especially as Latin music continues dominating global pop culture. The heavy bass and recognizable Bad Bunny sound give the trailer a totally fresh vibe compared to previous Minions movies.

The new Illumination movie also looks HUGE visually. Between giant monster chases, classic Minions slapstick comedy, and cinematic Hollywood references, Universal clearly wants Minions & Monsters to become one of the biggest family movies of 2026.

And honestly? They probably will.

The Minions franchise has already earned more than $5.6 billion worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing animated franchises ever. This new installment also features a stacked voice cast including:

  • Jeff Bridges
  • Allison Janney
  • Christoph Waltz
  • Jesse Eisenberg

The film is directed by Pierre Coffin, the creator behind the Minions themselves, which has longtime fans even more hyped.

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny keeps proving he’s way bigger than just music. Between movies, fashion campaigns, WWE appearances, and now a major animated blockbuster collaboration, Benito continues expanding his influence literally everywhere.

At this point, Bad Bunny isn’t just an artist — he’s basically becoming a full pop culture universe.

The new Minions & Monsters movie premieres exclusively in theaters on July 1, 2026, and based on the reaction to the trailer alone, expect this movie — and Bad Bunny’s “EoO” — to completely take over the internet this summer.
