Delray Beach Named Best Beach in Florida for Third Consecutive Year by USA TODAY Readers

If you’ve ever spent a day soaking up the sun on Delray Beach, this news probably won’t come as a surprise.

For the third year in a row, Delray Beach has been named the Best Beach in Florida in USA TODAY’s prestigious 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, beating out some of the Sunshine State’s most famous coastal destinations.

Florida is home to more than 825 miles of beaches, many of which regularly land on lists of the world’s most beautiful shorelines. But according to voters, Delray Beach continues to stand out thanks to its unique combination of natural beauty, crystal-clear water, and lively downtown atmosphere.

The annual ranking began with a shortlist curated by USA TODAY editors and a panel of travel experts. From there, the public voted daily for their favorite beach destination, with voting wrapping up on May 18.

Known for its two miles of pristine sand, scenic natural dunes, and sparkling blue Atlantic waters, Delray Beach offers the classic Florida beach experience while also providing something many beach towns can’t: a vibrant downtown located just steps from the shoreline.

Visitors can spend the morning swimming or relaxing by the ocean, then stroll over to Atlantic Avenue for restaurants, shopping, nightlife, art galleries, and year-round events without ever needing to get back in the car.

“We’re honored that Delray Beach has once again been recognized as the Best Beach in Florida,” said Laura Simon, Executive Director of the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority.

“Winning this award three years in a row speaks to the unique experience Delray Beach offers – from our beautiful shoreline and clean, walkable beach environment to the energy, culture, dining, and hospitality found throughout our downtown. It’s a destination that truly has something for everyone.”

The recognition further solidifies Delray Beach’s reputation as one of South Florida’s premier travel destinations and a favorite getaway for both locals and tourists alike.

With more than 230 days of sunshine each year, Florida has no shortage of incredible beaches. But for the third consecutive year, Delray Beach has proven that its blend of ocean views, walkability, dining, and coastal charm continues to make it the beach to beat. 🌴☀️🏖️
