Not Drake turning his beef era into a cinematic livestream. On Friday night (July 5), Drizzy shocked fans by dropping a whole new single, a music video, and teasing even more new tracks—all during a lowkey YouTube livestream titled “ICEMAN Episode 1.” And yes, it’s giving album rollout energy.
The livestream felt like a fever dream: Drake’s walking around some industrial warehouse, measuring a literal block of ice (??) before kicking back in an employee lounge. But then, a TV in the break room cuts to throwback footage of The Boy during his early days… and then boom—the “What Did I Miss?” video premieres right there.
The song is raw, direct, and full of feelings—mostly aimed at fake friends, industry snakes, and possibly LeBron James 👀.
“I saw bro went to Pop Out with them, but been dck riding gang since ‘Headlines’…”*
“How can some people I love hang around pssies who try me?”*
Sheesh. He’s venting. Loudly.
It kicks off in the backyard of a mansion, with Drizzy rapping in front of a lineup of rifles by the pool (very on brand for his villain arc). Then we’re back in the warehouse, where he’s spitting bars in a giant walk-in freezer like it’s a metaphor for how iced-out his heart is post-Kendrick feud.
“What did I miss? When I was looking at y’all and cooking with y’all?”
Ate that.
But he wasn’t done. After the video, Drake hops in a white truck labeled “Iceman” and takes us on a lil joyride through the streets of Toronto. Windows down, radio up, and yup—he previews another new track called “Super Max Deals”right from the whip. Fans on the sidewalk notice, wave, scream… and then one dude calls him a b***h. And Drake? He pulls up and confronts him. On camera.
Between the surprise drop, the emotional lyrics, and the icy aesthetics, it’s clear Drake’s setting the tone for whatever’s coming next. If this is just Episode 1, the album rollout is about to be a movie. 🎥❄️🔥
