Best Roadtrips From Miami

Need a last minute break from the hustle and bustle of Miami? Whether you’re looking to relax or recharge, these destinations offer the perfect change of pace.  

#1: Islamorada, Florida 

Just 1 hour and 40 minutes from Miami, Islamorada is my go-to spot for a laid-back beach getaway. Known as the ‘Village of Islands,’ it’s the perfect mix of scenic beauty, outdoor adventures, and small-town charm. Plus, it’s a seafood lover’s dream! If you’re looking for a great place to eat, I highly recommend Pierre’s Restaurant where they offer amazing views and delicious food. Come unwind, soak up the sun, and enjoy the tropical vibe of the Florida Keys. 

#2: Mount Dora, Florida 

In Mount Dora, you can find over 30 annual festivals, a historic downtown, arts and culture, and beautiful views of course! Visitors can enjoy activities on Lake Dora, explore the Dora Canal, and relax in the many parks. If you are looking for a small-town coastal vibe, Mount Dora is for you! 

#3: Savannah, Georgia  

It’s a bit more of a drive from Miami (about six and a half hours), but totally worth it. Savannah, Georgia is known for its rich history, architecture, and southern charm. It’s even nicknamed the ‘Hostess City of the South’ because of its welcoming vibe, historic squares, and cobblestone streets. Just 20 minutes away, you’ll find Tybee Island, also known as ‘Savannah’s Beach,’ with North Beach, South Beach, and Back River Beach to enjoy the coast. I haven’t made it there yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to it!
