What makes the timing even messier? Just days before the split, Maggie was still spotted supporting Benson at his North Carolina show on Sept. 7. But two nights later in Nashville, Benson admitted to fans he’d had “a rough day.” He quickly added that being on stage made him “very happy,” but the slip gave everyone a peek at what might’ve been going on behind the scenes.
Benson and Maggie first went public back in March 2024 at Elton John’s Oscars viewing party. Soon after, Maggie dropped that hand-holding video that sent fans spiraling. Their relationship became instant stan material, with social media hyping them as one of the cutest up-and-coming celeb couples.
But Benson’s career has been on overdrive. Between his breakthrough hit Beautiful Things, a 50-date North American tour, and selling out Madison Square Garden earlier this month (where he literally teared up on stage reminiscing about his journey), it looks like his “non-stop” schedule might’ve made things tough.
