Long live Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story — literally. The “Fate of Ophelia” singer just dropped major details about how the Kansas City Chiefs star got down on one knee, and it sounds like something straight out of a movie (one that she probably wrote the soundtrack for). 🎬✨
While promoting her brand-new album The Life of a Showgirl on The Graham Norton Show (Oct. 3), Taylor opened up about the proposal moment — confirming that, yes, Travis did pop the question right after she made her debut on his and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast. Fans had been speculating that Travis secretly set up the whole thing behind the scenes, and turns out, they were totally right.
Taylor said the proposal was a “10 out of 10” moment — complete with hidden photographers, new hedges, and all the romantic details you’d expect from a couple this iconic. “One of the things he put in there, very strategically, was a wall of hedges that weren’t there before,” she added. “And inside the hedges was my tour photographer hiding in bushes that had not previously been there.”
The couple, who started dating two years ago, announced their engagement on August 26, dropping a joint Instagram post that broke the internet. The caption read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” and featured swoon-worthy photos of the garden proposal — plus a close-up of her jaw-dropping diamond ring.
From friendship bracelets to forever — this is one love story we’ll never get tired of watching play out. 💞✨
