Yummy Hits SoFlo's Hottest Hits
Miami Beach is about to get a little more iconic. This Monday, Oct. 13, the city will celebrate music legend Gloria Estefan with a special street naming ceremony at 13th Street & Ocean Drive, right by her famous Cardozo Hotel.
Gloria and her husband Emilio Estefan own the Cardozo Hotel, making the location extra special. As part of the honor, 13th Street will officially be renamed after her, marking her incredible impact on the city and its culture. The ceremony kicks off at 11 a.m. and promises to be a heartfelt tribute to the Miami music icon.
The idea was proposed by the Miami Beach Commission for Women, recognizing Gloria’s contributions not just to music but to the city as a whole. Mayor Steven Meiner called her a “true Miami Beach treasure,” and honestly, we couldn’t agree more.
From chart-topping hits to helping put Miami on the musical map, Gloria Estefan’s legacy is now literally part of the city streets.
