Charlie Puth just dropped a major life update — and it’s not just a new single. The “Attention” singer revealed that he and his wife, Brooke Sansone, are expecting their first baby together, and the announcement couldn’t have been more Charlie-core. 💛

Instead of a classic Instagram reveal, Puth shared the news through his music — hiding the surprise in the music video for his latest single “Changes” from his upcoming album Whatever’s Clever!, out March 6. Talk about a double drop. 👏

Puth then confirmed the news during his Tonight Show interview with Jimmy Fallon, casually saying, “I’m gonna be a dad,” before admitting he couldn’t share much more because he was “told not to reveal the gender.” But, in true Charlie fashion, he couldn’t resist adding a musical twist:

“I hope the baby likes music because it’s the only thing I’m good at,” he joked.

He also got nostalgic about how his mom inspired his own love of music — by literally playing tunes to him before he was born.

“My mom used to put the headphones — it was the ‘90s, so the headphones were big — on her tummy. I think I listened to James Taylor and Luther Vandross. I’ll do the same thing, whether Brooke likes it or not.” 🎧

On Instagram, Puth gave fans a glimpse into their “mom and dad” era — sharing pics of a tiny toy piano beside his grand piano, an adorable penguin-themed crib, and even a clip of their baby’s heartbeat (which, according to him, “sounds like a dance song”). 🥹❤️
