Selena Gomez Drops New Single “In The Dark”

Selena Gomez is back in the spotlight — and this time, she’s stumbling through the shadows… in a good way. On Thursday, October 23, Gomez released the music video for her latest track “In The Dark”, featured on the soundtrack for Netflix’s rom-com Nobody Wants This season two.

Directed by Luke Orlando, the video hits all the feels. Gomez sings about unconditional love, always being there for someone “when you lose yourself / to remind you of who you are,” and celebrating the beauty in vulnerability with the line, “you’re still beautiful in the dark.”

The Rare Beauty founder teased the “nostalgia-heavy” video on Instagram, noting it has a little throwback to her 2015 Revival era. “This is just a little nostalgia droplet and I hope you love it 🖤,” she captioned the post.

Earlier this month, Selena celebrated 10 years of Revival, sharing throwback pics from her “bangs-and-rockstar” days and thanking fans for making that chapter so unforgettable. 🖤

“In The Dark” is Selena’s first solo release since she and husband Benny Blanco dropped their collaborative album I Said I Love You First in March — and her first new music since tying the knot last month. On The Jennifer Hudson Show, Gomez shared she wanted to keep her wedding private and even revealed which of her three wedding gowns was her favorite.
