According to a new study by Luxury France Tours, Miami has officially been ranked the No. 1 Christmas city in America. The study evaluated 50 major U.S. cities across 23 different metrics, including festive appeal, affordability, holiday traditions, and overall community spirit. Miami topped the list thanks to its impressive variety of holiday-friendly amenities. From bakeries and gift shops to Christmas décor stores and toy shops, festive essentials are widely accessible for both locals and visitors. The city’s abundance of seasonal shopping options helped push it ahead of colder competitors that typically dominate holiday rankings.

The study also highlighted Miami’s signature warm-weather twist on Christmas. Despite the lack of snow, the city offers plenty of “winter vibes” through vacation rentals equipped with indoor fireplaces and hot tubs, allowing residents and tourists to enjoy cozy holiday moments without braving the cold.

Rounding out the top three were Atlanta in second place and Las Vegas in third, while cities like Minneapolis, Boston, Seattle, and Tampa also secured spots in the top ten.

Each was recognized for its own blend of holiday shopping, seasonal activities, and strong community engagement during the festive season. Meanwhile, traditional holiday heavyweights like New York and Los Angeles landed closer to the bottom of the rankings, largely due to higher costs and fewer holiday amenities per resident. The results underscore that holiday cheer isn’t limited to snowy backdrops or iconic skylines. This year, Miami’s win makes one thing clear: Christmas magic hits differently when it comes with sunshine.
