There are “Miami Baddies,” and then there is the ultimate Miami Baddie herself: Camila Cabello.

Fresh off the heels of her bleach-blonde C,XOXO era, the 28-year-old superstar spent her Sunday (January 11, 2026) in the most “305” way possible. Camila served as the Special Honoree at the annual Three Kings Parade along the historic Calle Ocho, where she was officially presented with not one, but two keys—one to the City of Miami and one to Miami-Dade County.

For Camila, this wasn’t just another trophy for the shelf. It was a recognition of a journey that began when she immigrated from Cuba to Miami as a young girl. City officials presented her with an official proclamation, citing her “cultural impact, artistic achievements, and longstanding connection to the city she calls home.” As she stood in the heart of Little Havana, the “Havana” singer was visibly moved, calling the ceremony one of the favorite moments of her career.

“Given the option to be anywhere, I will always pick Miami,” she told the cheering crowd.

f you’ve had C,XOXO on repeat since it dropped, you know this honor was a long time coming. Camila’s latest album has been widely embraced as a sonic love letter to South Florida.

By blending Latin rhythms with hyperpop and hip-hop, she managed to capture the exact “nocturnal energy” of a Miami night. The city specifically noted how her music—especially tracks like “Dade County Dreaming” (ft. JT & Yung Miami) and “I LUV IT” (ft. Playboi Carti)—mirrors the vibrancy and immigrant stories that define the region.

Honoring Camila at the Three Kings Parade (El Día de los Reyes Magos) was a symbolic move. The parade is a staple of Miami’s Latin heritage, and having a homegrown hero like Camila lead the way sent a powerful message of representation.

As City Commissioner Ralph “Rafael” Rosado put it: “For so many young people in Miami, Camila Cabello is proof that their dreams are valid.”

Whether she’s walking the Met Gala carpet or waving from a float on SW 8th Street, Camila continues to prove that you can take the girl out of Miami, but you can’t take the “305” out of the girl.
