For a while, it sounded like Euphoria was heading toward a clear ending.
Season 3 was widely expected to be the last, especially after years of delays, cast scheduling issues, and everything that went into finally getting it made. But now, that idea isn’t as locked in as it once seemed.
New reporting suggests that a fourth season is no longer off the table, even if nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
Season 3 already changed the direction of the show in a big way. Instead of staying in its original high school setting, the story jumps forward and follows the characters in a more adult phase of their lives, dealing with completely different stakes and choices.
That shift is part of why the future of the show felt uncertain. It no longer fits into the same structure it started with, and for a while, it seemed like that evolution was leading to an ending.
At the same time, Euphoria is still one of HBO’s biggest shows. Even with mixed reactions to Season 3, the audience is still there, and the conversation around it hasn’t slowed down.
Behind the scenes, things haven’t exactly been simple. The show dealt with long production delays, creative changes, and scheduling conflicts with a cast that’s now fully booked across film and other projects.
All of that made a fourth season feel unlikely at one point.
Now it’s more of an open question.
Nothing is confirmed, but it’s also not being ruled out anymore. And if it does continue, it wouldn’t be going backward. It would pick up from where these characters are now, fully outside of the world the show started in.
For now, Season 3 still feels like it could be an ending.
But it’s no longer guaranteed to be one.
