Yummy Hits Pure Miami
lright, Miami—it’s that time again! From March 1st to October 31st, thousands of baby sea turtles will be making their way from the sand to the sea, and it’s up to us to make sure they get there safely. 🌊💙
These tiny legends are fighting for their lives from the second they hatch, and the last thing they need is us making it harder. So, let’s be decent humans and follow these turtle-saving rules:
✅ Keep the beaches clean – Trash belongs in the bin, not in a baby turtle’s way.
✅ Lights out, Miami! – Bright lights confuse hatchlings and send them the wrong way. Use turtle-friendly bulbs & turn off unnecessary lights.
✅ Curtains closed after dark – If you live near the beach, close those blinds so the little ones don’t get lost!
Miami, let’s not be the reason a baby turtle doesn’t make it home. They’ve been doing this for millions of years—let’s not mess it up now. 🐢💚 Who’s in??
✅ Flatten the sand – Your epic sandcastle is cool, but not if a turtle gets stuck in it. Knock it down & fill in holes before you leave.
✅ Emergency? Call the pros! 📞 If you see a struggling sea turtle or hatchling, call the 24/7 hotline ASAP: 305-310-3046.
