Southwest Miami-Dade is looking like a scene straight out of an action movie right now. A massive brush fire erupted on Wednesday near 117th Avenue and Southwest 344th Street, smack between Homestead-Miami Speedway and Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant—and it’s been sending smoke billowing into the sky.

🚨 What’s the Damage?

  • 700 acres burned so far
  • 60% contained (so, still a battle)
  • South Florida’s super dry conditions = fire spreads easily

🔥 Who’s Fighting the Flames?
The Florida Forest Service is leading the charge, with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue pulling up big time. They’ve got ground crews tackling the blaze and even brought in the air rescue squad for water drops from the sky.

🏡 What About Homes?
Breathe easy—no buildings or homes are at risk right now. But officials are keeping a close eye.

🚗 Heads Up, Drivers!
There could be road closures, so if you’re in the area, stay alert and check for detours.

Stay safe, Miami. We’ll keep you posted. 🔥🚁🚧
