Yummy Hits Pure Miami
Miami-Dade just did something major key. 🔑 Last week (March 19), it was announced that hip-hop royalty from the 305 — including DJ Khaled, City Girls, Trina, and Trick Daddy — are officially being honored with their own streetsin Liberty City. Yes, we are LITERALLY driving down memory lane now.
Thanks to Commissioner Keon Hardemon, streets along 18th Avenue are getting renamed after iconic songs and artists that helped shape the cultural DNA of Miami. The move isn’t just about vibes — it’s about uplifting the community and putting a spotlight on the city’s creative roots.
“If you play this music to the people who are from this area, they are going to light up like it’s the Fourth of July,” Hardemon said. And tbh? Facts.
Among the 29 legends being honored:
DJ Khaled — who basically made “we the best” a Miami motto
Trina — the Baddest, period
City Girls — whose street anthems raised a generation
Trick Daddy, Flo Rida, and more — who turned 305 into a global sound
And it’s not just the mainstream names getting love. Local legends like:
Ball Greezy with ‘Soul Ties’ Street
Zoey Dollaz with ‘Post & Delete’ Street
JT Money with ‘Big Money Baller’ Street
are also getting the recognition they deserve for keeping Miami hip-hop alive and thriving.
🎶 This isn’t just street renaming — it’s hip-hop history written in real life. And if you needed another reason to cruise through Liberty City with the windows down and the bass up… this is it.
💬 Which artist would you want to drive down a street named after? Let’s hear it in our DMs
