Are Nicki Minaj and Cardi B Feuding (Again)? The Rap Beef Is Back and Messier Than Ever
Looks like the rap world’s messiest saga just got a new season. Yup, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are at it again, and the claws came out hard on X (formerly Twitter).
After Cardi dropped her new album “Am I the Drama?” on Sept. 19, Nicki reportedly hopped online with some since-deleted posts shading the sales numbers. Basically, she hinted Cardi’s stats were looking a lil’ too good to be true. Cue Cardi’s clapback:
“Nothing more annoying than a bored [expletive]”
“You must’ve missed me, huh crazy?? Now kiss my feet.”
Not exactly subtle. 👀
Cardi also went off in another post, telling Nicki she needs to stop comparing herself to her (younger) and start competing with her actual peers — Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Drake. Her words:
“Those are the numbers you need to be competing wit and you can’t cuz you doing lower than all of them.”
Ouch.
Of course, Nicki didn’t let it go. Screenshots show her clowning Cardi’s lyrics and even accusing her of getting surgery to look like her. One of Nicki’s bars-turned-diss:
“Fallin off the charts wit a big bellyyyy / RUNNING TRAINS. Barefoot, still smellyyyyy / Still. You. Could. Not. outsell. meeeeee.”
Yes… she really went there.
If this feels like déjà vu, that’s because it is. These two have been trading shade since at least 2018 — remember that infamous New York Fashion Week fight where Cardi allegedly tried to swing on Nicki? Yeah, the beef’s been marinating for years.
Meanwhile, Cardi is busy being a mom-to-be again — expecting her fourth child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs. She’s already mom to Kulture (8), Wave (3), and Blossom (1) with her ex Offset.
But back to the drama: is this just petty internet sparring, or are we about to see Nicki vs Cardi Part 2 IRL? Miami’s already buzzing — imagine if both of them end up booked for the same festival down here. We’d need extra security AND popcorn. 🍿🌴
