Tate McRae and Sombr Freak Out After Taylor Swift Calls Them Her Faves

Even though they’re technically competition on the charts, Tate McRae and Sombr are having the most wholesome fangirl moments ever — all thanks to Taylor Swift.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, Jimmy asked Taylor what the last song she listened to was. Without hesitation, she said, “Oh, Tate McRae’s got a great new song called ‘Tit for Tat’ — you gotta listen to it. It’s, like, full volume, over and over again on repeat.”

Tate saw the clip and completely lost it. She reposted the video on her IG Story with “oh my godddddddddd 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 whaaaaaaaaaaaat,” proving that even pop stars freak out when Taylor Swift knows their music.

Meanwhile, Sombr was also living his best life after Taylor mentioned both him and Tate in another recent interview. “Tate McRae is amazing. Sombr is amazing,” Taylor said. “There are so many incredible artists that I love listening to … I’m supporting them by streaming their music constantly in my house.”

Sombr shared the quote on Instagram with the caption: “i ❤️ my life. i ❤️ @taylorswift. thank you.”

And if that wasn’t enough serotonin, he told fans at his Toronto concert, “Today is very weird for me because the biggest artist alive recognized me: Taylor Swift.”

Honestly? The way Taylor just casually changed both their weeks with one shoutout… power move.
