Madison Beer is opening up about life after heartbreak with her latest single “Bittersweet.” The 26-year-old singer released the track after her September song “Yes Baby,” continuing her musical return this year.
In Bittersweet, Madison dives into the messy emotions of closing a chapter in a relationship. She sings, “Now that it’s over, you blame it all on me/ I know I should be bitter, but baby/ Right now I’m bittersweet,” perfectly capturing that mix of pain, reflection, and acceptance. In a statement to Rolling Stone, she explained that the song is about “the difficulty of coming to terms” with the end of a chapter while still finding peace in the journey.
This release follows a series of 2024 and 2025 singles, including “15 Minutes” and “Make You Mine,” the latter of which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording. With Yes Baby and Bittersweet, Madison is proving that she’s back and exploring a more vulnerable, emotional side of her music.
Fans can also catch Madison live at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City on October 15, with the performance streaming on Prime Video, Amazon Live, and Victoria’s Secret’s social platforms worldwide. From charting heartbreak to commanding the stage, Madison Beer is showing that 2025 is her year to shine — bittersweet moments and all.
