MIAMI — Get ready for takeoff, South Florida! The wildest event on water is officially back and ready to take over the 305.
After a 13-year hiatus, Red Bull Flugtag is making its grand return to Miami on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The legendary human-powered flight competition is claiming the waterfront at Bayfront Park, turning Biscayne Bay into a launchpad for gravity-defying creativity, backyard engineering, and epic, hilarious splashdowns.
Because the event lands right on Halloween, the vibe is going to be completely unmatched. Expect massive crowds, incredible energy, and next-level costumes both on and off the flight deck.
A panel of celebrity judges will score the teams based on three things:
Flight Distance: Can they actually fly, or are they sinking like a stone?
Creativity: How insane, unique, and detailed is the craft design?
Showmanship: Every team has to perform a 30-second choreographed skit on the deck right before they jump.
Lock In the Schedule
The best part? The event is completely free to attend. You don’t need a ticket or an RSVP—just show up early to grab a spot.
11:00 AM: Gates open (Get there early for a good view!) [1]
12:00 PM: Opening Ceremonies roll out and the first flights launch [1]
3:30 PM: The final craft takes flight, immediately followed by the Awards Ceremony [1]
Yummy Hits Spectator Guide
If you’re heading down to party with us at Bayfront Park, here is what you need to know before you go:
Bring the essentials: Blankets, collapsible lawn chairs, sunglasses, and sealed water bottles are all good to go.
Leave the bulky gear home: Pop-up tents, outside alcohol, and massive bags will not be allowed past the gates.
Got a boat? If you want to skip the park crowds, private boats are allowed to anchor in designated spectator zones out on Biscayne Bay on a first-come, first-served basis. Just make sure to stay clear of the safety drop zone.
Whether you’re coming to see actual feats of engineering or you just want to watch people dressed as giant slices of pizza plummet into the ocean, this is officially the place to be for Halloween in Miami.
Make sure to bookmark the official Bayfront Park Event Page to plan your arrival, and keep it locked to Yummy Hits Miami for updates as we get closer to takeoff!
